A Grandmothers love

A grandmother asked me about her recently departed teen age grandson.

He instantly appeared to me holding his sports jersey spread out between his hands and practically jumping up and down.

He wanted them to know that he was OK. That it was an accident.

She wanted to blame someone for his death and he said no, it was his fault - but really an accident. He went on to answer her questions because he wanted to set the record straight.

But what he really wanted to do was to just say HI to everyone and to let them know he was fine. And to not worry about him---to let it go & move on.

This underscores how we get caught up in our Earthly world and how they (mostly) just want to let whatever happened go.

Many times they don't even want to talk about how they died.

In this case, this young man was excited to talk to his family again.

He wanted to talk about what was happening with his sister and other family matters. And he wanted them to know that he loves them and is with them all the time.

I personally have quite a few family members on the other side, & know how hard it is to let go.

But they really want us to go on living as they get to ride along with us.

So when I often think of my Brother when I'm in a tropical place, my Dad when I find a good deal and my Sister when I hear Elvis singing.

And I know they are with me enjoying that same moment and what a sweet - bittersweet moment it is.

Blessings,

Susan
