This was quite the education for me when I first started!
Of course, most of us do not want to talk to our EX- Mother in laws… but that’s what happened on my 5th (ever) reading!
This young woman had come in to hopefully talk to her Father who had passed away a few years ago. But as I “tuned in” all I could see was this older woman. I asked her who she was and what she wanted to say.
And she starts talking about this guy and how this young lady had “done him wrong”
Well, now I am thinking WTH?
But I am new, & not sure how to handle this so I tell my client what this woman said and describe her appearance as an older lady – but very well put together. She doesn’t like being called older- so she is taking me to task for that while I wait for the client to respond.
My client says, oh NO… that’s my EX mother in law! I don’t want to speak to her!
Meanwhile the EX M.I.L. is going on about how he was a good boy and you ruined his life…
BUT he is better now than he ever has been!
I listened to this litany... then let her know that I passed along the message and now she had to GO.
And that’s how I learned to push an “energy” to the back! This has been an important lesson... LOL!
Sometimes it’s just an over talkative uncle hogging the “microphone” when someone wants to hear from Dad or Mom. So it’s helpful to be able to maneuver people on and off the mic.
In the case of the young lady above, I was able to get her Dad to come through and after some back & forth, there was a wonderful healing that took place.
As I mentioned earlier, we all come to these meetings with our same personalities. He was his usual self and she was looking for them to have closure as they had not had a smooth relationship.
There was love and respect between them, but it was a rocky road. She was more serious in nature and he was anything but. I was able to let him know that this was a very important thing for his daughter as it is not everyday you get to talk to someone that is no longer living!
After that, he became more serious and was able to let her know how he felt and that he was ok.
He also let her know that he liked her new husband and that they would be having a baby girl!
Which was a surprise to her as she was not pregnant at that time! He also gave her some great advice about her work situation.
Hearing from him- in his own words was very comforting to her and they ended the “call” with a mutual expression of love which they weren’t in the habit of doing.
I did get an update from her and she did get the promotion and was 6 weeks pregnant!
So he did a great job and came through for her.
This reading went from a disaster to a blessing in 50 minutes! LOL!
